Chicken Tenders – 99% Approved for The Virgin Diet

These were AWESOME! They would be okay in cycle 2 & 3. I did eat these on the 2nd to last day of my cycle 1 for the Super Bowl, so I cheated a tiny bit.

• 2 large chicken breasts
• Rice Chex (these are the only questionable ingredient, with a little sugar in them)
• Sea Salt & Pepper
• Paprika
• Dried Oregano
• Garlic Powder
• Onion Powder

1. Cut chicken breasts into strips & sprinkle strips with sea salt & pepper

2. Heat oven to 450 degrees & spray pan with 100% olive oil spray

3. Crush (about 2 cups) Rice Chex on a large plate. Add sea salt, paprika, dried oregano, garlic powder & onion powder (I like a lot of seasoning, but add as much or little as you like)

4. Dip chicken strips into the crushed Chex & seasoning mix, coat & put directly onto olive oiled pan

5. Bake for about 17 minutes (180 degrees internal temp is perfect)

I dipped them into Frank’s Hot Sauce & they were so yummy!

There are a lot of different components to The Virgin Diet & keeping track of them all can be a lot of work. I am going to try to break them down from what I’ve learned from the book & my experience so far. Water & meal timing are KEY to succeeding with the diet. Quick & Easy Foods for The Virgin Diet

One of the hardest parts of The Virgin Diet is knowing what you can eat! This post will help you figure that out.

When you are shopping you will want to stick with the basics defined in the book; protein, fruits, veggies & healthy fats. Less ingredients in something is always better. I’ve been scouring the shelves of my local grocery stores to find things that work in the diet & are easy & quick. Here are some of my favorites.
